    4803 Erie St Description

Hello, I am renting 1 room in my 3 bedroom College Park, MD. It is intended for one occupant. The room is available 12-8-22. The home is shared by a total of 4 people including whoever moves in. The landlord lives in an apartment downstairs with his own kitchen and bathroom. At present we are all males and are 62, 45 and 46 years old. We are respectful of each other and get along well. There is also a 5 year old dog named Mr. Snuggles who you’ll most likely love. The rent is $600 and we split the cable/internet 4 ways (about $72 each) and we also split the utilities 4 ways which comes to perhaps $130 each per month. We are right off Route 1 and the Metro-bus stop. We are a mile from the Greenbelt Metro train station. There is a 24 hour Shell station across the street with a mini mart. There is also a diner across the street with great food. The room has its own radiator heat and also a window unit air conditioner. The kitchen has a garbage disposal, and granite counter tops. There’s a washer and dryer downstairs, and a large screened in back porch with comfortable couches and a TV. There is also a deck with a table and chairs and an umbrella along with a very comfortable outdoor couch. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, and you like to explore nature, there are a good number of places to hike that aren’t very far away. Please note, you must have savings in your bank account in case an emergency comes up such as a car that needs fixing in order to get to work. You must also be able to pass both a background and credit check. Reasonable cleanliness, picking up after yourself, and sharing certain responsibilities with your housemates is expected, such as cleaning the oven and bathroom for example. I’ve found if there’s even one tenant not pulling his or her weight things fall apart. Not following house rules which are simply about common courtesy and consideration will not be tolerated, and 30-day notice will be given. My goal is to keep harmony in the household. The amount needed to secure the place and move in is $1200 which consists of the first month’s rent and the security deposit. Upon signing of the lease $600 is needed to secure the room, and the other $600 is needed before move in. Again, please note, the room is meant for one person, and not a couple. Call Joel to make an appointment to check the place out.
